Save Me Too

I worked with Sky Atlantic as an advisor for their latest series, Save Me Too.
I used my experience working with sexual violence victims to advise the cast on how best to portray their characters, while supporting them as they approached this difficult subject.
It was important that I could support the cast and crew with any feelings that may have arisen throughout the whole process. I could then assist them with any upsetting or harrowing emotions that were brought to the surface during the production of this series.
My knowledge and experience with how a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) functions, and what support victims of crime receive when they report an assault was an essential role in being an advisor.
This was a wonderful opportunity for me to share my knowledge of this subject with others and make the production of the series as realistic as possible.

Showtrial

I have also advised for the BBC One crime drama, Showtrial, a show that follows a murder case through trial, observing the perspectives of both the prosecution and defence, as well as the victims and the accused.

For this project, I read the script for each episode looking for any way in which I could improve the action and dialogue to make them truer to life. I also advised members of the cast whose characters had storylines that centred around sexual abuse by answering any questions that they had and to ensure that they felt supported while working with such a difficult topic.
Please contact me if you would like advice for your forthcoming production.

Testimonial 10

Deciding to book in for therapy with Sian is one of the best things I have ever done for my mental health. I found it easy to open up to Sian, and she’s helped me to a point where I don’t need her anymore! Her approach to helping me was just what I needed. There was no judgement and I really enjoyed all of our sessions. Even the ones that I found hard felt like a great release. If you’re struggling, I cannot recommend Sian highly enough. I’ve already recommended her more times than I can count, and will continue to do so. Sian - thank you so much for helping me, I feel strong & happy in life.

test 9

I went to Sian regarding a general lack in self-confidence and fear of public speaking. I had a number of failed promotion opportunities which involved my two biggest fears: a presentation, and question and answers. I dreaded the process. It would leave me physically sick and anxious. I began researching hypnotherapy and stumbled across a recommendation for Sian. After session 1, I felt an instant change. After three sessions, I was ready to conquer my fear. I entered the promotion process and passed with top marks.
I can’t recommend Sian enough.

test 8

Having hypnotherapy for my fear of flying has taken away the fear. I am often going away now. This confidence to fly has given me more flexibility and I feel so much more relaxed. I even flew on my own this year, which is a great accomplishment and something I would never have considered previously.

test 7

Thanks to the amazing Sian, not only am I enjoying a glass of wine in London, but I am doing it alone. I never thought I would see this day!

test 6

I suffered a lot of trauma in my childhood. It stuck with me for 30 years. I met Sian and she just felt right. She created a safe space. There was no judgment. EMDR was very thought-provoking. I’ve gone through a whole EMDR process and feel so much better for it. I am no longer stuck by the limiting beliefs that I had. I feel more confident. My self-worth is through the roof. I’m actually looking after myself. Sian helped me a vast amount.

test 5

For many years, I had been unable to watch certain television programmes. Working with Sian, I came to the realisation that this was rooted in childhood trauma. EMDR has enabled me to work through the trauma and process my childhood anxieties of not being accepted by my peer group. I am now able to watch the television without the need to hide, and feel I am back in control of my life.

test 4

I came to see Sian with depression and overwhelming anxiety. I was having frequent panic attacks and was utterly exhausted all the time. Now, I am able to function and do things I could not even think about before. Sian helped me laugh and remember that, even on a bad day, there is a positive in there somewhere if you just look.

test 3

Following many traumatic losses of close family members, my anxiety had peaked. I couldn’t do even the smallest tasks without feeling trapped. A friend mentioned Sian’s Purple Therapy in conversation, and I am forever grateful that she did. From the moment I met Sian, I felt at ease. Sian could relate. She gave me coping mechanisms, listened without judgement and provided a safe environment for me to express my feelings and worries. I cannot recommend Sian enough.

test 2

Years of suppressing what I was going through had left me feeling isolated and broken. Sian helped me to pull down the walls I’d built for myself, making it clear that I wasn’t alone.

test 1

When I first arrived at Sian’s clinic, I felt lost and alone. I came out of my last session feeling invigorated, confident, and ready to enjoy life again.
